Between fragment, journal, detour and assemblage, Lichtig's work revolves around collecting words, textes, voices, and their visual and aural interpretations. The content is situated in the ambivalences, the loss or the gain, the unexpected that is appearing as the work shifts from text to voice, from voice to painting, from painting to photography, from climatic conditions to effects of light — in the works's capacity of being something to keep becoming, to be uncircumscribable. Through the constant transference and permutation of aural and pictorial forms and the confrontation of different stylistic languages, Lichtig is concerned with the breaking of linear, hierarchic structures, questioning areas where finality becomes problematic, rather becoming: How, through successive shiftings, ‘hollow language’? How this void creates language in turn?
