REPLIKAS is a series that functions as a verbal score, in which paintings are endowed with a voice speaking in the first person, thus abandoning their stationary position. The works unfold between language and image, gesture and resonance, suggesting that painting, too, can speak, breathe, and respond. REPLIKAS can be superposed on other works, placed on the ground, or suspended in space. Their “voices” recorded and broadcast on radio as poems, extend the pictorial field into the audible, the act of seeing into an experience of listening.

REPLIKAS est une série qui fonctionne comme une partition verbale, dans laquelle les peintures sont dotées d’une voix parlant à la première personne, quittant ainsi leur position stationnaire. Les œuvres se déploient entre langage et image, geste et résonance, suggérant que la peinture, elle aussi, peut parler, respirer et répondre. REPLIKAS peuvent se superposer à d’autres œuvres, être posées au sol ou suspendues dans l’espace. Leurs « voix », enregistrées et diffusées à la radio sous forme de poèmes, étendent le champ pictural vers l’audible, l’acte de voir en expérience d’écoute.
