2020, Staying in the Trouble with Painting, La Canbière, Marseille
Staying with the trouble in Painting (#swttip) is a performative installation which is acted out on a 3 meter high and 20 meter long wall, in Passage Canebière - 73-75 la Canebière, 13001 Marseille. Around sixty artists from various generations and nationalities have been invited to propose a black and white poster linked to their practice. Posters appear on the wall in the order of their reception, in the position determined by each artist’s chosen coordinates. As time passes, the posters superimpose or cover one another completely, their blending is the collective work. Forms appear, meet and disappear randomly, questioning in an experimental way the concept of Author and the sustainability of an artwork.

2017/20, Painting as Passage
a series of group exhibitions, Montpellier
Painting as Passage — three group exhibitions curated by N.Lichtig, accompanied by editions (in German and French)
The exhibition series addresses the vast field of painting, accessing it from a perspective that goes beyond generally accepted approaches: To what extent can painting be defined? And from what notions can it be defined? What is its purpose, or what is it necessary for? In attempting to examine the spectrum of what can be considered painting in the broadest sense in contemporary art, a diversity of topics and areas of interest are included, intended to serve as suggestions for discussing painting from various viewpoints.
The exhibition Unfinished Sympathy questions the relation between painting & time, Phototropia approached the relation between painting & space, and Grammaires fantômes / Phantomgrammatiken develops from interrogations concerning the link between painting & language.
